How to make plastic goals
The goals shown in the left of the picture were made five years ago using solvent weld pipes.
They are most suited for mini polo aged players and are quick to put in place and store away.
We have just replaced a 12 year old "weld-type" goal with a goal having compression fittings (Dec 2013).
It was easier to construct but was not as rigid as the weld-type goals. The use of insulation
tape on the ends of the pipes that fit into the compression fittings has improved rigidity. The goal can be
taken apart for transporting in a car.
Total cost of materials (Dec 2013) from Screwfix was £28
